Year of the Community - Boys and Girls Club of Peel By: Michael J. Gyovai

(Region of Peel) - As 2019 comes to a close, ending the Year of the Family, it does not mean that we as a Family have come to an end.

Here at the Boys and Girls Club of Peel we pride ourselves on the level of service, compassion and dedication we have for all that we associate and work with on a daily basis. This is our parents, our children, our youth, partners and stakeholders. Our love for what we do and knowing that we are a COMMUNITY of support for each other and that is why we felt it was important to identify 2020 as the YEAR OF THE COMMUNITY.

I invite you to join us on our journey throughout 2020 as we venture down many different paths towards accomplishing wonders for the children, youth and families not only across the Region of Peel but Ontario and Canada.

2020 is about the Evolution of Quality in delivering the programs and services YOU the members and partners want to experience. Becoming a Household name for the dedication, commitment and passion we bring to those in our communities, ensuring that EVERYONE is receiving access to resources they not only need but deserve.

As we at #BGCPeel grow and evolve in our advocacy work, we know in order for our children, youth and families to thrive and succeed forward it MUST happen through collaboration. It takes a Village, a Community to raise our children and youth, while giving our families HOPE through the access to opportunities.

I can't say it enough. I LOVE the work I/we get to do everyday. It is because of my amazing staff, led by Abby, Bindi, Nikki and Dianne why we continue to reach new heights year after year in the services we provided and the lives we change.

Again, join us in 2020 as a COMMUNITY of HOPE for the children, youth and families right here in our Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon. Let's ensuring that in 2020 we are growing together, one family, one community at a time and leaving the quality of life we all desire and deserve.

Happy New Year from our BGCPeel family to all of you,

Michael J. Gyovai - Executive Director

(Peel Region) - As another year is quickly coming to an end, we here at the Boys and Girls Club of Peel are excited to turn the calendar over to January and continue the journey we began in 2017.

2017 has seen many new partnerships and friends begin, for example with Hasbro Canada, the Beaumer Churcott Foundation, Staples, Toronto Blue Jays Care Foundation, Rice Development Inc., Town of Caledon and so many more.

2018 is going to be another year where we continue to push boundaries, bring down barriers and explore and journey together with all of you as we help more children, more youth, and more families, through our after school programs, summer programs and family support program THRIVE in all that they do.

If you are not already, I encourage you to follow us on social media for an up to date journal on what has happened and will be happening through our Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon in 2018 with your Boys and Girls Club of Peel.
